JCAS employs a rigorous, double-blind peer review process to ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of the scientific record. Each manuscript is initially assessed by an Associate Editor for scope alignment and technical adequacy, after which it is assigned to two or more independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

Peer Review Highlights
Double-Blind Format: Reviewer and author identities are concealed to minimize bias.
Reviewer Guidelines: Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations, offering critical insights into the methodology, novelty, and clarity of submissions.
Editorial Decision Timeline: The average time to first decision is 1–2 weeks, with continuous monitoring to optimize review efficiency.
Appeal Mechanism: Authors may formally appeal editorial decisions by submitting a reasoned justification, which is then reviewed by an independent editorial panel.
Review Integrity: JCAS uses automated and manual tools to detect potential review fraud and ensures that all peer-review activities conform to COPE recommendations.

All reviewers are acknowledged annually (with consent) and may request certificates of service upon completion of reviews.
